Finally tackling the CL70 wiring.

I mentioned in the intial post about the CL70 that it looked like someone had been messing around with the wiring.  I was able to get the wires in the battery box fairly straightened out and installed a new battery.

I got it running but it would intermittently cut out. I found that if you grab the main wiring harness where it comes out of the frame before going into the headlight bucket and shake it like a crying baby, it will fix it temporarily.  That generally means one of two things: loose connection or a bare spot in a wire.

Time to break out the service manual wiring diagram and open up the headlight bucket.
Oh wow, this should be fun.

It's alive!

Got the engine running... Now to see if I can make it drink fuel on its own!

A few new bits for the CL70

I managed to find the correct tail light and the rear turn signal bracket on sleaze-Bay for a decent price.  The bracket is pretty crusty but hopefully it'll clean up somewhat decently. (I don't know why I didn't get a pic of the front of the tail light.)

I've also got a set of the front and rear turn signals on the way.  The badges on the otherhand have turned out to be a bit more difficult to find for a reasonable price....
